May I request members to PLEASE learn the definition of "SCRATCH" building? It means building a model from available scraps/pieces/resources from available  photographs / statistics only - you can't just download a plan and build a plane/boat/car/vehicle out of depron / balsa / wahtever and call it a TRUE SCRATCH BUILD. Scratch build means NO PLANS At ALL! If you are building from a plan, it is classified as a PLAN Build.

If in doubt, check Roopesh's builds - 100% GENUINE SCRATCH BUILDS. Are they accurately built to SCALE?  - That is a different question entirely and is NOT relevant to this contest.

Board exam for Students, March ends for professionals (Specially Govt. officer and related 2-3 stage private personnel too..)
Now all included.

Retired persons are happy as they have no exam or march ending pressure.

You can build monoplane, bi-plane, tri plane, small to large size, white, yellow to red.
Now it's all depend on quantity. Just maka the plane, Post. Create another one.

I really don't understand the idea behind making 2 models and getting 2 tickets. Given the duration to 9th April , Some can make just more than one and gain huge advantage. If you can make 3 scratch build , 9 tickets earned !!!!

The problem is many are skilled and equally qualified but may not find enough time to build so many !!

I believe the whole idea of the process of competition was to invite large scale active participation from forum members towards the celebration of anniversary of the forum. Winning and loosing be there may be a focus for the individual participants, giving more time for a wholesome active participation form all segments of the member population is very much warranted. 

OK, if the added time causes more people to participate (time for ordering additional parts etc), then we are going to extend.

The new closing date for submission of entries on this thread is April 7th, and the winner will be announced on April 9th.

Making more models may increase the winning percentage but the thing is that the one who is luckiest among us will win the Title..
Many of them may build more than 3-4 models to get more tickets.. And finally the winner may be the one who make only one plane. So Dont be upset with the conditions, rules or anything make your model and wait for the day believe in your luck.. All the best

It was mandatory from the beginning.  I was providing exceptions on a case by case basis, but even that seems to be uncalled for now.

Here the participant is only my son PARAM though largely supported with my help, we are competing exclusively for him to compete and for only one of the prizes, that is RC Bazaar PT-20 Ryan KIT.



We are decline remaining prizes. even if we win remaining any of the other prizes it will be gifted to deserving forum members along with the sole concurrence of the Admin and Admin only.

From my side the best micro build with a beautiful flight video by the deadline will be gifted with a Plantraco Tx Module External for conversion of any Tx compatible with a 900Mhz Plantraco system. Depending on the extra detailing, complexity, lesser AUW, true to real life look and flight performance of the wining build I might add many extras to go along with the winning prize which will go along specially for a micro build to include any or many or all of the following parts like motors, actuators, micro magnets, wire cut foam sheets, horns, 0.5mm carbon rod,  1-2 mm shrink tubes, single cell Lipos, 0.3mm horn quick couplings and IR Heli Circuit cards with IR Heli TX,. Depending on the quality of the build and the flight video, the extra parts added will be more. You may even find a used Plantraco Receiver. Shiva, Arun, I hope you guys are seeing this

And to all who believe in sheer quantity, trust me when I say that Anwarbhai's eagle eye will be looking at build quality and difficulty level very, very closely; whether he officially announces it or not  > >

Umm...april 9th will be okay.But i am damn sure no 12th guy will be able to as the JEE(mandatory) exam is on april 7th.
but i think 9th should be good as all students except who r in 12th can submit atleast.still if there is space to extend and as a 12th student it should be april 30th .

I am not sure if extending even more is a good idea. 

After all, a simple foam build is a matter for 4 to 8 hours, which should fit well into the break time between various study sessions

I have not requested till date, but in fact March ending goes upto 10April Max (As per RBI G.O.) and not more than that. And one week afterwords for making and testing will be enough for professionals. The worst thing is that in between study, one can make servo horn or glue parts, or measure coro plans, but in office (and home office too) we cannot do that for profession.
So, there are so many request from so many viewpoint. Let the Admin to chose for time extension Via PM and obey rule. Only post the build log thread here.

So, the updated rule should be in 1st post of 1st Page. And follow that updated rule.
