Dear RC India members
This is an extension to the Sweepstakes by Anwar Bhai on the birthday of RC India. Our forum is undoubtedly the best RC Site, in this sub continent, I dare say by the quality of posts and the members that we have probably the Best in the world.

Do I need to spell out how immensely it has contributed to RCBharat (for that matter to all LHS). We had a humble beginning; honestly, I was wary of its success. Looking back, however we have traveled a long way. We will soon be stocking some Jet Stuff (we are talking to some big names in the Jet Market of the world).

Therefore we felt the need to revamp our website to better standard (not that it is bad now  :giggle: ). The start point of this is to have a nice Logo,

Therefore this LOGO making competition.

A Few rules are

1.   The Logo, should preferably in a Vector Graphic File format (so that it doesn’t pixelate during stretch), if it can’t be and you want to draw it and scan it, is also fine. We will employ some professionals to convert them.

2.   A panel of members (including some members of the forum) will decide the winner. Need I say their decision will be final?

3.   Once you submit your entry for the competition, the Intellectual Property Rights of the Logo will be ours.

4.   There will only be  one winner.  {:)}

5.   You can submit as many entries as you possibly can, since this is no draw of lots, the best LOGO wins.

6.      Last date for submission is 31 Jul 2013 (we intend hosting it on the midnight of 15 Aug 2013, will go with our feeling of being 'RCBharat'...'Bharat Mata ki jai"   :salute:)

Since we carry the name of RCBharat, we would prefer some tri-colour thrown in, of course, it is entirely upto you, be as creative as you can.

Prize is an RTF Sky Surfer, which includes SKY SURFER with a BLDC motor, suitable ESC, 4x 9 Gms servos (pre-installed), 1300mah 3S lipo with a IMAX B3 Lipo Charger and 4ch FLY SKY Transmitter and compatible receiver (Pre-installed and all set and good to go). Basically all you will ever need to Fly it out off the box, all you need is some open space, some simulator training and a Bottle of ‘Mountain Dew’.

GUYS... just a quick suggestion.... save as a JPEG file and not a PNG, as the alpha channel goes black..... :)

The complex the picture, small logo will be difficult to realize. But the fact is winner will be the in the difference of .000001% than runner.

Thanks SAI for the extraordinary RTF gift which can be enjoyed even by a newbie and no need other things.

I am not graphic artist, but tried a little bit.
Graphic touch is require. It is made in M$ word processor drawing.

Mod, please delete / ignore my entries from this thread for two reasons:

1. My creations are amateurish when compared to the ones that are being published lately.
2. More importantly, some members seem to be completely consumed in outdoing each other, I refuse to belong to such a rat race and I,HONESTLY, lack such overwhelming passion for this purpose. This prize means more to them than it does to me and they deserve it more than I do.

@VC sir, 1) your creations are not amateurish...its not the cleanness or the sleekness of the design, but the idea behind it... once you get an idea, you can  keep making it look all fancy.
more than the prize, i am doing this just to see how much i can push myself, and how well can i execute a project.... the real prize is not the skysurfer... it is the fact that your design is being used by someone! :)

Whatever design selected will never be justified or any design not selected too can’t be justified. 


It’s not science Sir its Art  :hatsoff:............... Science has limitations for its own rules & laws; Art is a free soul and your own creation sir.
Pardon my example but your response is exactly like of a school kid who going back to his parents accepting that "too many intelligent students in my class! I quit this school and go somewhere; I can be acknowledged as the only intelligent one.   

Harsh reality for us in the contemporary world is identity crisis . In Delhi even PM’s car is ignored as any other one.  We never have that sense of satisfaction which were there in our old golden days.
Solution in my view is ……just enjoy being a part of this contemporary world and forgot the identity. Enjoy sheer existence in this word;

Ya VC sir, your logo look professional. and appeals a lot in terms of website. I like it. and dont loose hope . even I am not participating to win. I took part in many contests so far and only won 2 outta 160. so you can estimate how bad it feels. :)

well, I suppose yes. He needs a vector logo that has to be in CMYK (printable format)

@rahulvyas...  you can supply a logo in any format... they can always convert it to a vector... i make all my logos in Photoshop :P

well. Its not the way that you use the auto convert option.
That option isnt made to make logos.

Its better to make it in vector from beginning. I never use photoshop.

Adobe Illustrator rocks for logo making..... or Corol draw...

@rahul..i make my logos in a layered format and later convert the individual layers into vectors in illustrator.... this is because most of my logos begin with using a photorealistic image and cleaning it up etc.... photoshop is fluent that way... later i export each layer and either autotrace or manual trace them.... :)

The whole Idea behind this is to get a good looking logo, and this can be achieved only through multiple attempts.
As the deadline isn't too short, one can give multiple attempts untill he is satisfied.

What software is everyone using to design their respective logos? ???

How to design in vector in photoshop?

Photoshop will not generate vector. we should use vector tools like Coreldraw or Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Flash.
I used adobe Flash to create logos. 

you ccan use photoshop to make raster logos though

raster logo are of no use >_<

we make super duper stuff and the bars will raise on their own. This competition has just kicked the tyres for more of its kind to follow so I feel the award is justified.

these are tri color versions of the earlier ones... with the outline in black-blue, to show the chakra in the middle....
changed it to a silver emboss ring... the orange and green might be a little too bright or dull, this happened because my monitor is old and messed up with the colors... so what i see may be different to what you see....

Few points about the logos I have done:
 - Its all done in vector
 - Used flat colours so that it can be easy to print like Screen printing
 - Used less possible colours so that the printing is cost effective.
 - Less complicated graphics so it is visible even reduced the size to smallest possible
 - Visible with all backgrounds

Awww man was learning CS2 couldn't complete my logo as I didn't know to draw in any graphics suite only hand drawn pics, next time I will be ready with a graphics suite. Hope the best logo wins 

Thanks!!  that is one big responsibility. Well i went through the thread, every single entry, let me tell you, all of'em have been "Ek se bad kar ek" . Anyone could be better than the other. Priyum has impressed us with his color combination while Aniket has impressed us with his simplicity, cheluvaraj's one particular design with just two wings is superb. However fight has been sort of confined to just three of them. (not necessarily the three i mentioned ;) )

I will announce, First, Second & Third, and list participation in the order of submission. Sai has kindly consented to give prize to all three (Obviously, first prize winner gets the RTF Skysurfer). Other two i guess will get, 2000 :Rs: and 1000 :Rs: store credit. All participants will get 200 :Rs: store credit. All store credit winners could pick anything and the said amount will be reduced from your total. (I don't know if i got it right as far as prizes are concerned, if not Sai will clarify) Results follow  :banghead:

I request all of you to understand one thing, i have not and will never take sides of any LHS. All LHS are as dear to me as the other and i proudly say that i have great regard for all of'em (and they do for me, i guess). Sai has been kind enough to share his models with the community, in fact day before he came home driving 50 kms in the thick of traffic to discuss prizes and i could spare only 10 min for him.

Competition like i said was tough, there were a lot of them that were discussed and shortlisted, one better than the other. So, the modus applied was, who among the shortlisted was the architect of the most. that's how i went about it. My personal one choice was, none, like i said, cheluvaraj's logo flying the wing, Aniket's simple design (latest one), Priyam's Video, all them were stand out. Rahul and dinesh followed simple principle of logo making, keep it to bright basic color, keep it catchy and simple. Girish's contribution too made it to the list, but then he had only one. So people who let their imagination run wild and made it to the shortlisted FIRST, made it to the top. Since i didn't have time (Of late finding myself very busy), had to steal sometime from my sleep. found myself sleeping at 0430 hrs to get up at 0600. That is the story.

Anyways ! congrats to all of you. Do well and God Bless
