Title: engine power cutting off.
Post by: ratz1233 on March 11, 2013, 02:28:05 PM
Hey guys, I own a nitro powered rc airplane, a Hobbico Nexstar 46 trainer, I've been facing a problem, that is as soon as the engine starts, and i push the throttle, the engine goes off, can anyone tell me what the problem could be? is it the fuel mixture, or any other problem. Please revert.

Thanks.

setting the lower end needle will solve the problem.

It could be the high needle also, depending on at what throttle range it quits (and the nature of how it quits).  Use the "pinch test" to set low needle, and "finger on backplate" test to set high needle (if the backplate is accessible).

Search this forum for details on both of the above.

start with the basic thing..close the needle fully and then open it for 2 rounds then choke it.,.and start the procedure of starting..the engine....if engine fires start closing the needle on to make ideal and also open full throttle and set it to reach by opening or closing the needle..
secondary
Check plug nd the fuel or make it filter.

Check the high speed needle, open it a couple of notches (1/4 turn) and try, proceed from there.

This is due to rich mixture setting , pl check high speed needle.
