Title: Help required for engine repair
Post by: VC on September 09, 2012, 03:22:40 PM
Found some old engines and am hoping that someone can help restore them for me. I will pay for all required charges and expenses.

Two of them are .75 Diesels probably old Aurora or Sharma. One is definitely in need of repairs as is evident from the photographs.

The other was salvaged from a scrapyard. It was attached to a small Testors control line model and is probably a Glow.

I will be grateful if someone could help me.

Regards.

The diesels are mills .75 -my first engines.

doubtful if you can get them to running condition as both of them
will require the entire carb assy.

These are very common and someone is sure to help out with spares.

In a pinch - i can dig out my old box and rummage - I have at least
6 of these in varying states of ruin.

they were poor QC to start with.

Glow - again doubtful as you are unlikely to find testors spares.

VC,
Send the Mills to Rishi, he may be able to repair them for you or buy them back

Thanks, gentlemen, for all suggestions. Aerovishwa has offered to restore them and they are on their way to Bangalore. Am not interested in selling them to Rishi or anyone else.
