Because Methanol and nitro methane are technically banned, I don't think we can freely leave contacts or leads here, but we must share this valuable input in a private manner so we can all source and use our most sought after product in R/C Hobby - FUEL  :D

If it is banned, how come Model Art is selling fuel ?

It is not banned everywhere in India, only in some states. I know it is banned in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. But even in other places, the dealers are wary selling it because of the harassment from Police. Every time a illicit liquor tragedy occurs, these people come under scrutiny.

This is a problem only with pure methanol, once it is mixed with lubricant, no more issues.

Thus, brewing is the only answer coz the pre packed/branded fuel is not available, and neither will they ship it to kerala. And to add to this Pure Meth is not freely available. The Ban is only in regard to stocking Methanol.
But somebody said that Chemical companies are selling Methanol to school/college Labs with a different shelve name with the added touch of 'Solvent'-'for experiments'

Nitro fuel is not banned!
Its only the sale of Methonal is banned here in karnataka.  Only people with license can sell methonal.
Model Art is not selling methonal, but selling ready to use (imported) fuel  ;)

Most dealers have raw materials on request. Need to give advance notice. Modelart sells Tornado fuel and lubes only.

Dont think Castrol is available in India. Klotz, you can check with rotor sport, chennai.
