Title: Nitro Fuel availability in India
Post by: Alapan1998 on July 09, 2018, 11:42:28 PM
Would it be possible for anyone to direct me towards any shop which sells methanol? I'm from West Bengal Kolkata. So anywhere near like 'Chandni Chowk' will be nice. I used to use 30% Nitromethane but have also gone with 5% content.
My vehicle is a HSP Backwash buggy. It was awesome when it lasted.. Now the car's been sitting in my room for quite a while😞

Thanks for giving the info. To vishal, I went through the website you mentioned. It looks like there was already a post about hobbyxyz.com or hobbysea.com here. But sadly the site is continuously giving up on me whenever I'm about to check out. So even after adding my required fuel to cart I can't proceed😢

Have you tried ebay.in?

Yeah I tried eBay. Actually I've bought first 2 litres from there. But unfortunately the seller 'JoginderSingh' has blacklisted me and thus I'm no longer able to place order. I can always think of making an alternative acc and continue. But I don't want to meddle with that person anymore. Thanks tho.

Why did Joginder Singh blacklist you?

For leaving a negative review over an order. Even eBay customer service helped me get back my refund as he was claiming otherwise. Could you point me towards any reliable source? Or is it that no one's interested in these stuffs anymore :'(

You are somewhat right ... people are fast losing interest on nitros.... moving towards electric.

Nitro in cars and airplanes has a dedicated and increasing following

In helis yes, Electric are definitely becoming more popular

The main restriction for Nitros is the availability of suitable fields. Some people find Nitros troublesome - they need patience to overcome the learning curve

As to fuel suppliers, Joginder is very popular; I'm surprised you had cause to leave a negative review on e-bay

Yes they are obviously difficult when compared to electric. You may need to learn the combustion cycle to actually get the engine.
And as for the seller his shipping method was much sloppy every single time. Even they managed to somehow lose my parcel while it was being shipped. Worst of all it was past several days from the est. delivery date and they didn't even tried telling me. It was just too troublesome. Sorry for the long post...

Thanks for the reply. Your effort will be highly appreciated. Although I maintain the car very rarely now but I can't wait to get it out and drive around again :)
