Rotor has resumed their fuel production, this time with much better mixes and lube. Very nicely priced too. We tested and was happy except for the lower Lube content.

I did a lot to promote Tornado and did sell too. But Rotors price is hard to beat.

Rotor uses Klotz, what is the lube used by Tornado?
Would also help if it was know what kind of gallon is used?
US Dry, US Liquid or Imperial Gallon?
But no doubt this eases lot of difficulties for all of us and competiton is always good

And where does Mayura Chemicals fit into all this ? Any one has comments on their prices/blends ?

Great to see lots of glow fuel availability in the south !

Tornado lube is mix of castor and Synthetic. Approx 11% for car fuel. Sai has got the quantity rating wrong. Its not gallon, but litres. 10% nitro comes in 2.5L, all other 4L.

As far as I know Mayura, was the fuel mixer for Rotor, not anymore. Its just a mix and fill chemical shop. The final lot of Rotor's Mayura fuel was pathetic. Lots of college boys had issues and shifted to Tornado thru me. Was worse than the fuel supplied by a certain chennai heli flyer.

I just hope that Rotors fuel quality remains. The price is just hard to beat.

Byron has more brand image compared to Tornado. That doesnt make it better. I have used both. More or less the same. May make a difference if you are racing with really high performance engines. Cant really make out on our RTR engines.

RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

My initial mentor in RC, Joe Marudo, had extensive experience using various fuel brands.  He clearly held Tornado at higher esteem compared to Byron (in his experience of mostly heli and airplane flying and a small bit of cars).

It would be surprising if any of the major fuel brands disclosed the exact sources of their components.  It seems to be only done when fuel is locally mixed.

Tornado doesnt specify what brand of lube they use nor does any others. Its approx 11% for cars.

Actually Bryon and Tornado discloses the Lube content on all their fuels. Chris Chianelli, the late RC guru once blasted the manufacturers for keeping the lube content a secret.

Content/percentage yes, brand NO.  The Captain was asking for the brand.

Sai

I think the MRP is PER GALLON - something not clear in your price list. And also what "gallon" as Captain has pointed out.

And 1% Nitro for AIR fuel? I'm sure there is a mistake here too!

Please clarify.

Please let us know the respective oil content also.

I am not sure about the price / gallon but 1% nitro for Air is true. I used it 2 months back when I was in India. I got it from Bangalore. Tornado do have 1 % nitro for air. Smiley

Guys why do you do your simple math? Will 2 gallons (approx 8 litres) cost only that much. The price is for 4 litres, or 1 gallon. Tornado ships in litres only.

It is there on the website.  For example, here are the details of the Car 10% one :

http://www.tornado-products.com/car/car/model-engine-fuel-car-10.html

It would help to get a quick summary though, or just link to the exact products on the Tornado site itself.
