Any 1.2 v high mah battery is good. The connector is an issue.  You should try to use a booster as a permanent solution.

@shijin ps
Yes, but even that is not enough. Need a proper connector wires capable of 2 amps, with properly soldered connection. The days of using crocodile clips etc are long gone. Since you have a plug, presumably you have an engine and maybe even a model. Must have invested a few thousand Rs. The right solution to avoid frustration is to get a rechargeable glow booster for about Rs 700. Online from say RcBazaar or other outlets listed in this forum.
Best of luck.

use 3 or 4 cells in parallel - your 1.2v battery cannot supply the current - it seems you are using one single nimh pencell - it that correct ?

@ shijin ps
See colour. Should glow orange.
If dull red, voltage too low.
Charge battery and/or increase capacity.

Im using a single AA1600mah 1.2v cell and it still glows good.
 the issue is not with the battery capacity, either its a worn plug or the battery nearing its life.
check the voltage when connected to plug, it should be around .8volt.
Also make sure the contact surface between battery/plug/connector is not oxidised.
