Wrong Brothers

Hello friends,
                   I want to buy a diesel engine, but i could not find diethyl ether, commonly called "ether" at lucknow. Ether is i think the basic component of diesels.

I read many threats, and searched many medical stores, but none of them keep them.A few chemists dont even know about it..

Can anyone tell me where can i find it in lucknow. And what is its cost as compared to methanol.?

I am very desperate to have a diesel engine. please help.

Is there any other alternative for ether which is easily available ?

Diesel is not very common here in India(for R/C)

Hello friend,

      Ether is mostly used by surgeons during the operation,so contact a medical surgeon and he will give you a bottle of ether.earlier before five years when i was flying a controlline plane with diesel power,my source to get eather was a MS Doctor.

Sir, then whats the cost you expect at present date. I met one of the medical practitioner, but he expects rs 350 for 500 ml bottle.

. dont u think this is a bit more Giggle

Dont know the exact cost yaar but i expected it to be not more than rs 120 for a litre..

      Ether is not easily available in market,it is restricted item.Five years ago when i fly with diesel engine 500ml bottle cost rs.250/.i think you will not get less than rs.250 to 300 per half liter bottle.

 :(And whats the time of flight we get through diesels, through a diesel fuel containing 500 ml of ether?

Im asking jst a thumbrule for a trainer with 3.2 cc diesel. Estimation will do.

abhay,

     10 ml.of fuel(mixture of ether,kerocene and caster oil)in 2.5cc diesel engine runs engine 4 minutes.3.2cc will take slight less time of running.
