Title: Zenoah 26cc EI Gas Engine
Post by: saurabhhsrivastavaa on January 12, 2010, 12:10:16 AM
Hi Guys !!

I recently bought a Zenoah 26cc EI Gas Engine.. Getting a little confused as someone told me its a little heavy and may not be suited for a 3D aircraft. Has anyone used this engine?? If yes, please comment on the performance and the wieght of the engine. Also, what aircraft was this used on.

I thought it was one of th good engines.. I have not decided a model for this but seek opinion from the gurus.

Thanks

Saurabh.

The total weight of the engine including the muffler is approx 1.5kg

I could not find the output power of this engine on the net. Can someone help me with this please.

Thanks
Saurabh

Yes Saurabh, the specs don't mention the HP but it is a great engine. And yes, it is not suited for 3D and more for scale aircraft like Giant mustangs and the giant scale cubs. I had it on my 100" Super Cub and it was way too much power. it does not have the kind of instant throttle response nor the power to weight ratio for 3D...
