Title: Another scratch built bipe - labor of love Post by: anwar on October 16, 2009, 04:52:33 PM Mike brought in another of his scratch built planes, a bipe built from a Brian Taylor plan. Built over the 8 years from 1993 to 2001 {:)}
It was flown from 2001 until 2003 and then was not flown for the last six years, until last week. Beautiful... if that word can describe it all ! The stupid cell phone camera could not do justice to it at all. Title: Re: Another scratch built bipe - labor of love Post by: anwar on October 16, 2009, 09:38:21 PM .. possibly the best RC hobby field ever :thumbsup: It is just plain boring dusty desert ! 8-) In fact many heli fliers bring in a mat (one creative guy brought in a big white-board) as a landing/take-off pad, so that the amount of dust whipped up and getting inside the model is minimized :( We do have a good proper field, but it is a bit too far. Title: Re: Another scratch built bipe - labor of love Post by: anwar on February 23, 2010, 08:29:46 PM I have nothing to do with it, except being fortunate enough to be able to admire its beauty in person and appreciate (or salute) the efforts of Mike who built it :)
And I do wish that you have the patience and drive to build one like that :) |
