Aerovishwa, what this is film is called locally...Is is heat shrink type or you simply glue it. Very fine craft... Smiley

this is called gelatin paper... but not the original... this is same as that( in looks) .. but plastic...

u need to glue the edges with "FEVIBOND" and iron it on, so that  u get a seale edge.. complete the same gluing at trailing edge,center span and leading edge..... once that is done blowing heatgun will skrinkout  the wrinkles...

now the main problem is that  once it cools down the wrinkles appear again.... so u have go for the HOT ICE/ heat ice  method to get a tight fit.....

but beware that u dont let the wing ( whatever u are  covering)  loose else it will shrink so hard it  will  break off the entire structure..  Bang Head  Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

quite sometime i  have not updated.... here are some  pics....

pic 2> fiber glassed  canopy left for drying

still some decals to be done.. before that some streaching.. . then will be ready.. just waiting for  the landing gear...

NOTE:  the engine gave it a perfect balance and needs  no  dead  weight... ( landings gears still to be installed)

some how managed to screw  up  with color scheme as  paint does not stick on the cellopane sheet..neither does vinyl.,...!! so getting frustrated ended up with this...!

just waiting for the landing gears and the canopy ... will be  ready for madein

good scheme, could have done without the white blotch, different color cellophine on top and bottom, and color strips separately like in most ARF
