SLS,
All photos are taken by another flyer at the field who is also a good photographer. Will any way suggest him about the D/T stamp. But if you ask me, that helps you (may be few years later to rememebr the ocassion ;-))

Gusty,
This craft, also excells in all knife edge manouvers. No coupling, and holds the KE easy peasy with just a bit of rudder

Ujju,
Come over to Chennai, you are always welcome

Gusty, honestly have not tried KE loops yet, had planned to do that today, but was having fun with the 40 size tiger so did not even take out the Adrenaline out of the car.
Should try that next Sunday.
The model is said to be designed for 90 size 2T, but I dread to say that you would have to add atleast a pound of lead with a 90 engine. I have roughly 130g of weight up in the cowl with the OS 108 and Dubro metal mounts.

Yes both 90 and 120 are two piece wing. On the 120 I would presume, that due to design the CG issue would still persist, but I have not seen or assembeled one so may be I am unaware.
A 120 is waiting to be started here in Chennai, the person was not very happy with the minor niggles.

RC Plane Designer / Test Pilot @ Team Vortex-RC

Lovely plane it looks. Would do nice pattern, I am sure with the nice long tail moment.

90 size seems to be just the right size plane. I was also looking out for the 120 but dropped the idea since it wouldnt accomodate a gas engine, without a lot of modifications

With its tail heavy design, 120 might need a 200 Four stroke to balance properly - without the need of lead. WOuld be awesome to fit in a gas engine on it somehow !

you stole my thought , just in the morning i ordered a MT 35 , for the adrenaline 120 or the SU 26(Probably), i have seen the Adre 90 fly, the nose is slightly small for a gas engine , i guess it will be a shade wide, some cutting job may be required, . long fuse wiggly tail, how much of expo ON THE RUDDER for a steady hover ? your thoughts FBC

I have a major problem with the thrust line hence Hovers are howevers. Many of you may know that this is my second Adrenaline 90 after I pranged my first one. The model as it comes from factory has the horizontal and vertical centrelines drawn on the firewall. My first one had the centrelines correct and assuming it to be right second time I just measured and drilled holes for the mount. And what did I have severe left thrust!!!!.
After the maiden I had to mount 3/32 ply pads under the left engine bearers and also do other mods to keep the prop centred and then there is lot of right rudder and aileron trim to negate the issues emanating from the crooked engine thrust line.
I know the only way is to open up and redo the engine mounting. Maybe I would once I am inclined to.
And I re learned the lesson again, do not beleive what comes from factory. If the workers who make these were as careful as you they would be buying these models and not you.

And upto 30-35% negative (Futuab) Expo is my standard on any aerobatic models to start with

Capt. Did u ever consider putting a DLE 20 in the nose of the Adrenaline 90? Do u think it would be possible? Waiting for the servos and then will have to consider which engine............ ASP 90 or DLE 20.
What servos are u using for the bird?

Flying doc,
I do not posess a DLE 20 hence never considered putting it on this one. If you read the posts above some disussion did happen on these lines and people said that to put in a petrol engine you would have to cut away most of the cowl. And then if you have the model you would realize how tight the space is in the fuse. After installing the tank there is hardly space left for a battery pack, leave alone the ignition module and battery pack for ignition.

On servo front, I have used Hitec 5625 MG on ailerons and elevator, 5645 MG on Rudder and 5485 HB on throttle

Hi Capt,
I went through a lot of ur posts for the Adrenaline on other forums and in one of the forums I found that a talk of shifting the CG to 150 mm was going on. At what position have you set the CG at? We would be mounting the engine today and hopefully take off for the first time tomorrow.
Waiting to hear from you.
Safe landings

Thanks Capt. That is what I'll do. The Adrenaline does not take off tomorrow as our field would be overgrown with grass and takeoff and Landing would be difficult. Will be flying the high wing trainers.
Hope u have a good day of flying.

Plain simple
Dead stick, tried that tad bit extra glide to get back in to the wind, turning in from base to final did the trick, the model dipped the nose after a gentle stall, not sufficient time/distance left between concrete tarmac and model. The pretty stiff wind down the runway also added to the issue, where before the model would have again acheived flying speed, and I would have pulled it back to horizontal, that tough concrete surface rose up to meet the models nose.
Result a badly broken airframe, a mildly shattered engine and sheepish looking flyer Giggle

"Ewe", hope it didn't get your "goat" when it "ram"med into the ground!

But jokes asides, it is sad to lose an airplane. So the adrenaline rush will be now subdued?

Until the next "inter"val.

Cheers Manish!
