I don't know how badly damaged it was. The airframe got retrieved out of my view. You can almost guarantee the airframe would be a total loss. I would be more worried about the engine.

I remember in 2007 a 50cc brand new composite arf Extra 300 crashed on the first flight, that was due to a faulty aileron servo.. this is what the pilot said
