Post by: Sahevaan on March 22, 2012, 08:34:30 PM
Hi people ,
I am taking up the IBIS 1.20 , 83" Wingspan 13" chord , Length 63" (incl spinner) as a summer project .
Firstly I'd like to thank RCDHAMAKA  :hatsoff:
The parcel was shipped on 21st and reached me today (22nd) at 5 o clock . The parcel was extra carefully packed and all the parts reached with no damage ! Brilliant service !  {:)}

I will keep this thread updated with my progress on the model .

I am planning on installing -
- MLD 28cc gasser engine
- Hitec 5485HB's (x5)
- Hitec 72mhz receiver

The pictures of the unboxing will be uploaded shortly .

Thanks ,
Sahevaan

nice one Saahevan.

Well the hinges are'nt suppose to go all the way in. The surface areas should not FLUSH with the wing. There should be a very small gap for movement. However, if you feel that the hinges are not going in complete till the pin, you may want to deepen the slot using a hobby knife.

I was glad to see the subaru that I gave you in one of the pic.  ;D M happy that its still alive..  :)

Hi Saurabh  , Yes the subaru is in top condition ! It was flown last around 4 months ago . Hopefully will fly it on the 28th or 29th again !

The gap in the elevator hinge (pic 0617 ) is little extra . It took lots of time and effort to get the hinges of the elevator in place . Only the left side is done as of now . Will do the right side and the rudder later .

Few more questions ,
How to get the elevator aligned exactly right ?
There are plastic sheets supplied for the windows , do I cut them and fit them from inside or not cut and stick them on the outside ? Also for the front windsheild plastic , how do I get it to the correct shape ?

Thanks ,
Sahevaan

Hi guys ,
made lots of progress on the build . The plane is almost ready , just the engine has to be mounted .
I will be putting a Saito FG-21 on this one , a four stroke gasser and not the MLD - 28 !
Will post pictures soon
