Thanks but I feel it is left as is, ignites curiosity. So one who is really interested may want to have a look

On a serious thought and study of the plans provided with the Pilot kit, and the Duncan Hutson plans ordered seperately I have come to realize that the wings on Pilot kit are very non scale in respect of the trailing edges and the cap strips. same with the tail structure.

Modifying the tail structures was not something which was very difficult, and so was reducing the rib cap size on the wing to accurately reperesent the full scale ribs. But changing the entire trailing edge structure was something which would have involved lot of re-engineering the kit and cutting up entirely new set of ribs (imagine that too for two set of wings). Another big hitch is that, the Pilot kit is designed around a 60-90 two stroke engine and hence the firewall structure would need to be completely re-enginered to accomadoate the intended laser 150-180 as motive power. And then the length of the model did not actually measure to 1/4 the real full scale one.
These plus small little details have had me thinking on alternatives.

The decision is finally made! I am putting this kit back on the shelve.
This kit would not be constructed.
I am ordering another pack with pre cut major parts and plan from a UK supplier which has better scale fidelity. Will start a new thread on that one once the items have been received.

Apologies to all who have been following this thread and waiting for the construction to start.

To whet curiosities.
The one which I am soon going to start building is from Falcon Models in UK.
The design is so new that only one model has flown till date. There is another being constructed in UK for a magazine review (can not reveal the name). One bought by another Gent in UK and constructions started (can be seen at rcscalebuilder.com) and then the one which I picked up.(Only the first two packs of total 14 available)
The design is very close to scale fidelity
Have a peek here and see the details for yourself
http://www.falconmodels.uk.com/acatalog/Construction_of_Tiger_Moth.html
You even have the option of buying the package with parts for OS IL 300 4 cylinder in line fourstroke engine. But mine would alas be powered only by the laser 150.
The entire kit is spread out into different packages and a builder like me strapped for funds could pick up the packages as you progress the build. If you have deep pockets offcourse you could pick up every thing together
Have a look at the packages availble here

Hope you enjoy the pictures at the site

Searched around on "pinked tapes" never heard of these. Found another guy into this - http://www.thecubden.org/

Pinking scissors were available, at one time. The cut edge looks like a sawtooth but with equal angles on the triangular sides.

I will look around for one for you, Manish.

Susheel,
If the pinking shears are available in 1/4 scale, I would be happy to get a couple of them.

Overlooked point taken!

You have a LOT of cutting to do!! Will keep you on the EDGE alright!

Susheel,
I would be taking the easy route, so my pinked tapes would come either from Mick Reeves or Pinkit. No cutting involved. Yet to decide which one would I order, while the ones from Mick Reeves are true to scale with the number of pinked edges etc, the one from Pink it look right!
