Guys I've gone through the whole forum but have yet to find any foot prints of coro. Ismail where is ur stamp  Smiley.
I hope I would not be offending anyone by starting a thread on coro, or if Anwar feels allright then he can start a topic for Coro.

 Grin Grin - Great one!!.. there are always better ones out there.

Anyway,.. I have not seen SPAD glow builds here.. most are electrics as they are easy and quick to build. I guess you are like me.. addicted to the grunt of engines, smoke, etc...

May be you are looking for Superior Plastic Airplane Design... As said in spadworld.net, if you have a request you are the one to make it first. So, you get the point.huh?

Nitro engines are generally more trouble than true beginners want to deal with. 

When people who are already experienced with glow engines do SPAD builds, I am sure we will see more of what the Doc is looking for Wink 

Would people agree that glow engines are gradually declining in usage (mostly in favor of electrics, and partly to gas ones) ?

So true Anwar. The sound of the engine and the power is no match for the electrics. Though the Gassers seem to be a better deal, and most people graduate to gas powered planes once they are into the hobby for a couple of years. The progression is inevitabe.

Thats great work, am sure she will fly very nicely..just take some good advice on the setup you would use on it as I guess she is going to be a heavy bird..

Thanks Atul,
As of right now, without the engine, servos, Reciever, battery pack and fuel tank (That's all that is needed  Grin, the weight is 1140gms. The plan says 4 pounds and 8 ounces. I plan to use a .46 engine wth it. Do u still feel it is heavy?

First I have to  learn to fly and that is exactly what I'm doing now. I got into aeromoddling in feb and I've just gotten my landing some what correct. This was for the other guys on the field who want to pactice 3D flying. But according to my instructor this is not a good aircraft and that it would need an engine heavier than .46. So' I'll just wait for a few months til I can fly this on my own and then I'll complete the build and then fly it.

Thanks Anwar, That is Polycarbonate sheet, 12mm thick. It was being used as a door to a machie in my friends factory. It had broken off and I was looking for polycarbonate, so I got it.

Hi ,

This certainly looks like a nice plane.. Not sure how hevy it is considering you have used poly for the wing. I have made a similar model and also test flew it last sunday. But for sure I would say that this is not a trainer model for begineers. This is good trainer for doing 3D but not sure if fits the bill for beginners.

Observations from the first flight:
1.) Ensure the CG is correct as defined in the plan.
2.) MAKE SURE THE ALU CHANNEL USED IS OF HIGH GRADE AND QUALITY. iT SHOULD BE STRONG and THICK ENOUGH NOT TO FLEX (SIDEWAYS and twist). (though it may add a little weight) (My tail was wagging at a little high speed because the alu channel was flexing. Ensure you keep the length of the fuselage to the min possible.
3.) My verical stab was also fluttering. so I have reinforced with 5 mm carbon rod going all the way down into the aluminium channel.
4.) keep the pushrods as small as possible to avoid flex and twisting of the channel.
5.) Add the coroplast fuselage as described in the plan for additional stability.
6.) Make sure the landing gear is tough enough to support hard landings.
7.) Tighten the fuel tank with cable ties strongly to avoid foaming of the fuel.

The final weight would be about 1990 grams including everthing.
Was planing to post the photos but I'll wait till sunday (After the maiden flight).
