RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

Nice Thumbs Up

What plan did you follow ?  What were the materials used ?  What is the AUW ?

Kindly post bigger pictures if possible.

Please note that balsa models can undergo significant damage in the event of crashes, so please do spend adequate amount of time on a sim before attempting to fly this.  Take the help of local fliers too, if anyone is willing to put you on a trainer cable for the first few flights.

i followed the balsa usa stick .40 plan for the construction of the model...
i've used light ply and white sidar for the fuselage and balsa for wing construction...
and i also have experience flying on the sim... and it was me who had flown our fellow member rc's plane yesterday.. and sorry about the pictures i had taken the photos from a cell phone so they are not really big...anyway I've uploaded bigger pictures now...

@Anwar This kid Aakash is genius. He has been in Model building for the past 6 years or so in mainly making balsa Boat. He has been under the benevolent training and guidance of a very senior accomplished Scratch builder from Bangalore, whom many 'Who's Who' of India RC scene would definately know

The way Aakash controlled Sarad's ('R C') KESL , is amazing. People were having trouble to even take it to sky for 5-10 seconds, and he flew with almost complete control for over a minute. And this was his first flight. I see a huge potential in this your chap, and hope he would nurture this forum with more scratch build models, the classics with is fast become scares even on forums abroad.

I would strongly suggest you to meet this bunch of young chaps on your next Bangalore sojourn!

Kudos Aakash!! and your young group!

Akash is very good in boat modelling, i have seen his collection of scratch built boats, they are amazing. I have requested him to upload some of his models on the forum.

He was the one who flew my KESL last sunday & that was his first flight.   Bow

I was impressed by the build of the SLOW STICK 40 when i saw Akash building it.

I also wanted to make the same model & i started with a small SLOW STICK, much smaller then Akash's SLOW STICK.

I have almost completed it, i will post it seperately on the forum with all the pics.

Thanks
