Darshan this will be getting a glow engine asp 0.25

- fuse markings done
- fuse cut
- horz and vert stabs cut
- firewalls cut (painful to get round edges, hot glue will take care of less than perfect curves)


wing cut and fuse assembly begins early morning tomm.

ASP 0.25 came in yesterday from RCD. Engine looks gorgeous

updates:

- fuse dry fitted for check
- blind nuts fitted in firewall
- servo receptors added - Liked the inverted servo design saving a lot of space, the body of the servo goes under the faux decks
- engine readied for fitting and marking on fuse

Coming along well  :thumbsup:

- fuse final fit - still need to add plywood box inside, will be done after wing markings. The turtle deck formers slot in from the bottom, slight margin left for accommodating  2mm corro + chart + vinyl sheeting
- firewall fitted
- engine setup for break in
- l brckets added to elevator for stability - i find L brackets allow for a nice resting surface for the stabs and provides strength to the empennage, which can be really weak in corro builds if not tethered adequately.

on to wings now, while all the glues cure and the engine breaks in :)

Maybe a bit of extra strengthening needed for the engine mount on the fuse. IC engines have a nasty vibration and might collapse the thin coro and might fly off too. Not scaring you, but just a word of caution. All in all, I like the quickest building of coro models. All the best :thumbsup:

100% agree. The fuse will get a lite ply box on the inside, attached to the firewall.
But only after the wing is made so the wing saddle can be cut correctly

more updates

- ailerons and landing gear blocks. The lg is on the wings.
- control horns affixed.
- fuse reinforcements cut, need to get wing profile on them now.
- made a field table in the meanwhile, the earlier one had an unstable footing.

Updates:

1. Wing closed
2. Aileron Servos attached.

The build is slow but no attempts for this to be a hurried job:

1. Fuse with control rods added
2. Wing top completed with wrap
3. Wing bottom completed with lg attached
4. Engine mounted, on to cg balancing. Approaching what was envisioned

This is a ready made canopy from a seagull 40 that crashed...:D

The canopy has a cut in it so will need to make one. As of now I have no idea how will I make one :D

Rai sir's infection has caught a few. Corro is a wonderful material.

The supra flew awesome. Took some real tweaking to the engine for that power, but it flied rather well once the sweet spot was met.
Alas, towards the landing it banged into a pile of cement blocks. But corro, strong as ever; the plane is fixable.

Apologies for the video, it is not very good quality, very sunny day, hard to track a fast plane like the supra.

I am guessing this is going to be my next fav after the spad-cap once it is back from the works,

That model flies real fast with a 25, and Girish wants to put a 32 on it  >:D

Could it fly with sharma diesel 3 cc

I'vent worked with diesel engines, but I've a feeling it will be under-powered. I am tempted to make another one since this one bit the dust  :giggle:

Tanmay, this was originally made with Trike config; Checkout pictures of build, then converted to a tail dragger because the repairs from the first crash moved the CG making it very very nose heavy...
