Hello,

M about to complete one .25 size trainer airplane totally scratch built,
Built for one of my student, Have started working on it a week ago, hope to maiden it soon,
Some specs:
Wing span : 54 Inches
Fuse length : 42 Inches
Engine : O.S. 25LA
Servos: Hitec HS-311 All Around

Looks real good  :thumbsup:. Which Landing gear did you use, and from where did you get it? How did the CG Pan out?

Look forward to seeing the video of the maiden  ;D

@yashodhanp- Sorry for the plan buddy, have started building it directly, but I tried to make it like Hangar 9 Alfa 40 (By taking reference from the pictures), And is totally made from Balsa..

@SanjayRai- Thanks, Undercarriage are made from the tampered wire which is loacally availabe here, and will sure upload the test flight vids Soon...

Converted it into a Electric Setup..
Motor:- Turnigy NTM Prop Drive 35-36A 1400Kv

Which esc and battery you used?

ESC:- Red Bricks 70A W/5A BEC
Battery:- 2200Mah 11.1 3S1P 30C
Prop:- 10X6E

One by one, the OS engines from his electric conversions are ending up with me.
Guess this is just a compulsive irresistible urge, considering that I've been flying only electric in the whole of 2013. And I've not even met Tanmay!
Tanmay, don't offer me any more engines (unless it is a four stroke hehe)

70A ESC? That OS is 0.70hp, or say 550W. So when he draws 55A, that 2200mah lipo will die in under 3 minutes. Guess Tanmay is going to ask me to return the engine soon  ;D

BTW We are not going to fly the Airplane in full throttle in a whole flight.. So Expecting a flight time of 6-8 minutes with 2200Mah 3S pack..

I think u should use only 30 to 40 amp. 70 is not needed its too high also.

What sort of flight times did you get then?

Really beautiful flying spot. Has anyone landed in the lake yet  :giggle: :rofl:

@Sanjay Sir:- Lol.. This is our permanent Flying Field, Beautiful Place for flying Sea Planes or Amphibian Aircrafts.

Also I am getting 12-15min Flight time with 3S 2200Mah Lipo, 10X5E Prop.
AUW of Aircraft is Around 1300 Grams.
Motor:-NTM Prop Drive 35-36A 1400Kv.
