I am considering replacing hiller 450 v2 tail assembly with the 450 pro belt one. Any consideration please help.

screw quality of hiller v2 is horrible, keeps slipping many times. Always fear to apply threadlocker to it. Now was the time for tail pitch control set, the arm assembly screw just slipped . So a complete tail has to be replaced. I dont want similar tail set so would prefer a v3 or pro.

Well screws is one thing that you need to be very careful about a little too less thread lock or a little more can just waste the screw.

Slipping is not necessarly because of the screw I have found that slipping happens because your Hex driver wears out from a side, so I always try with atleast 2 differnt hex drivers before applying too much pressure with one.

You should also get a set of Hex L key's which come in "Inches" instead of mm (check with a good hardware shop) as this one is just a bit bigger than the 1.5mm hex which is very good for those slippery screws. (A friend of mine on the field gave me this tip)

If you are planning to upgrade then go for that one otherwise get a branded screw set as I find all of them to do their job well if handled carefully.

Hey Rajath,

I have not used any personally but I have seen, read on posts that people use Align 450 screw set to avoid such issues.

hey guys this is the best hex driver 1.5 mm out there helidirect makes it i have two just to tell u how good and hard it is i have still not used the second still using the first one since 6+ months  the second one is as it is the material used is very hard and the hex driver i just for 5$ i recommend this http://helidirect.com/high-quality-15mm-hex-drivers-xl-black-p-4837.hdx.
as for using a pro tail on a v2 no problem but please check ur boom it has to have a hole near the tail cause the 450pro tail locks on to the boom in a different way ....the v2 uses a clamp with one screw the 450 pro uses a two screws from the vertical stabilizer sandwiched between is a plastic piece which is a mount for the vertical stabilizer which a small part goes into the boom and locks the tail case so it does not spin ...the plastic mount  is very weak if the vertical stabilizer  touches the ground that small piece which goes into the boom is bound to break off which causes the tail case to move no matter how tight u make the vertical stabilizer screw buy this if u want to upgrade to a 450 pro tail http://www.rc711.com/shop/metal-vertical-stabilizer-mount-for-trex-450-prosportsport-v2-p-7067.html?cPath=166_106_141 tc i use it and its original ALIGN
