Have anybody tried FPV in a Heli?
I have HK450 GT heli and HK 900 mhz 200 wts camera. I haven't assembled the heli.
Can I put the camera in the heli, will it be able to handle the load.

Was trying Cockpit view in Aerofly SIM. It is fun. Heli FPV will be more stable and it has lot of maneuverability then Planes (ex: I can hover and focus on a particular point).

One thing which worries me is the interference of the camera Tx and heli rx

How much can the hk450 can carry and fly. I mean weight in grams?

Interference is a known issue, and it is also a non-issue, if done right.  This has been discussed to death here, nothing new to add.

Regarding payload, I think somewhere around 200gm to 300gms.  I think people use a lower pinion and longer blades to maximize flight times under payload conditions.

hi guys
on a 450 the smaller the camera the better...... bigger wings?.....what size are you running?
435mm is about the max or you are in danger of tail blade strike.
plus more weight and bigger blades will mean shorter fly time.
for FPV a 500 is much more stable and able to carry a much greater weight cam.
don't forget you may need to extend the skids to safe gaurd the cam slung under the main shaft.
you can use a 2.4gig  cam frequency if you are mhz not a prob then
I don't know what the regs are there but in uk the aircraft 'must' be in sight and you 'must' have a 'spotter' with you, plus the normal regs ie below 4ooft ,not in public parks etc etc etc.

For 450 class, the standard blade length is 325mm, and people usually go to 335mm when they want added hover stability.

Are you sure people are running 435mm on 450 class helis, Don ?  I wonder if you are confused between 450 class heli blades and 500 class heli blades (as 425mm and 435mm blades are usually used in the 500 class).
