Title: Battery wont fit on my 450V2 Post by: srivatsa on June 18, 2012, 11:26:12 AM Hi Guys,
i ordered a new battery for my 450v2 on hobbyking (turnigy 3S 3000mah, 20C ). http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=9265 (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=9265) My bad, when it arrived I found out I had overlooked its dimensions :banghead:. It wont fit in the battery compartment !! the length is too much!!. I'm planning to some how fit it underside the heli (between the landing skids). Is it safe ? has anyone tried it ? Do i have any other option ? Thanks and Regards, Srivatsa Title: Re: Battery wont fit on my 450V2 Post by: raja_mastana on June 18, 2012, 11:33:38 AM 3000mah lipo pack is too heavy for a 450 size heli. I dont think it will work even if you manage to attach it to the heli.
The ideal size for 450 is 2200mah which is around 215 gms. Title: Re: Re: Battery wont fit on my 450V2 Post by: srivatsa on June 18, 2012, 11:58:50 AM That's around ~80gm extra btw 2200 and 3000 mah , does it matter?

AFAIK, on a V2, we can mount it on the slanting battery mount using a strap - Try it out Title: Re: Battery wont fit on my 450V2 Post by: Bill on June 18, 2012, 07:05:05 PM It will work alright. I have used it by attaching it directly between the skids with C.G. a little ahead of the main shaft - shift it forward and back to get the cg spot on & go fly
