I have upgraded the tail rotor to Hiller 450 V2's

The plastic one included with the kit is pretty good too.

@ dhaksha_dx

You are talking about two different heli's

This is a beginner version which has limited 3D capability, 450 Pro design is completely different can handle more bashing,

depends on your budget, always look for spares availability  Pro for Rs 3750 ? where?

the electronics would cost you the same for pro and this one, except for servo's as this takes a plastic 9g servo,

Go for the best. Bigger the better, even a 500 would'nt be a bad idea if
your budget allows.

The Beginner 450 is just so perfect little kit, it demands attention.
It does the job. Its for those who want to take one step at a time, or a
perfect gift. Best part is if you decide to go to the next level , it allows - with
all parts upgradable to 450 V2 (except the spindle).

For me,I just couldn't resit the kits price when it was on sale Wink

Suggest a better cyclic servo, something like AV90MG one available at RCB (out-of-stock now).
Point is you won't be replacing them for a very long time.

thanks Satish for such a great review on the helis... (one comment when i saw your video; your heli seems to be drifting a little bit to the right maybe there are some cyclic interaction and might need to level the swash or just a bit of ail trim might do???)

dhaksha_dx
if this if you first time on helis then why don't you go for the basic version of the Hiller which is rs 1500 kit (infact we might even put this on a promo soon so that its more attractive to beginners like you.  this could be a two day offer at much below cost price like rs 990 only... we still need to finalize this with the team if its feasible for us or not but will announce this soon)... anyways coming to the point you as a first timer will definitely crash if not today then tomorrow so don't invest large right now. learn to hover and get the feel of the heli first with nose-in's, side hovers, circuits and then invest in a bit expensive heli and get into 3D.. these are my 2 cents worth.. call is yours..

Hi Sujju,

Since I also have a Hiller 450, I must say that it definitely in 'right up there' with respect to build quality and over all function. I have the one with carbon fibre frame.

I will be posting some videos shortly for all you folks, however, I must admit that over the years, I have flown a wide variety of 6 channel electric helis, ranging from Walkera 22E, to esky HB King II, Esky Belt CP, HK 450, Storm 450. So, In terms of the quality of workmanship on Hiller kits is definitely excellent.

They come together with a lot of precision, and function quite predictably in flight. Thank you for making this hobby far more accessible withing the country and I look forward to a whole lot more folks enjoying these helis soon. Smiley

Hi Sujju,

That is definitely a wonderful news, I would love to have one of the 600's for sure. By the way, posting the video as tried to capture one today. It is also posted at another topic on this site, yet posting the same here, since it has the Hiller 450 (White canopy) which is a delight to fly  Smiley
