Title: Broken tail motor shaft
Post by: Bilal on February 20, 2012, 06:00:10 PM
Hello everyone,
I have been around this forum since a couple of months, and now i am starting my first thread. So please bear with me if anything goes wrong.:)

I got my very first heli on my birthday a few days ago. Its a volitation 3 channel coaxial one with inbuilt gyro. Its specifications are:-
channel:- 3
radio type:- FM 49 Mhz
battery:- li-ion 3.7V 3000 mAh
controll:- throttle, elevator and rudder
Heli was quit stable since day one and i was having a blast flying it, but this was when my bad luck kicked in. Actually i was flying it in my college's football field this morning when suddenly a gust of wind came from somewhere and carried my heli with it. I got really scared and in a hurry i lowered the throttle all at once which made it dive and it eventually hit the gole post.
Due to this it broke its 'tail motor shaft' and got its tail boom bent a little.
Now what i wanna know is, how can i replace or repaire its tail motor? Are their spares availaible for this heli with any of the LHS or online stores?...
Please help guys

In this case, the only thing that matters is identifying the exact model. So please post anything (including better pictures of the box) that helps identify the exact model, as "Volitation" comes in different model numbers and sizes.

Once the exact model is identified, we can try to find the tail motor or substitutes.

Most likely what you need is this... but then again, without exact confirmation of the model number within the "Volitation" range, we cannot come to an informed decision.

I understand sir, even i am facing the same problem.
Actually the box contains no information regarding the make and model no. Only 'Volitation Alloy Model Heli' is written. Neways i'll post some better pictures so you guys can deduce something.
And thanx for replying

Please measure the length of the body, and the length of the blades.

Ok, it looks like this is a rare model.  The 9053 26" model seems a lot more common, and parts are available.  This one is pretty rare... only this one showed up in quick searches.

But it seems this is same as the 9051 16inch model.  There are some parts available for it, please do search.  Note that you will be taking some risk with this assumption.

Also, if any RC India members have this heli in unusable state, requesting them to spare the heli motor !

Hello sir,
i am sorry to say that all our efforts are worthless  now, because the model i was referring to, went missing a few hours ago;(
actually i tried to replace the motor's shaft with a piece of sewing needle of same thickness, and it did work(i was busy replacing it when i posted my last message).
After the mod i did check the controlls and everything was working fine, so i decided to flt it in my backyard.
I throttled up the heli and gain about 6ft height, untill now everything was working fine but the moment i hit elevator stick, the model got out of controll an started gaining height and finally got blown away with the wind
