dude, you must have received a little bottle of thread lock in your kit itself, it will be enough for your first build.

Tools you'll need are some allenkeys and a philips screwdriver which you can get from local hardware store. If you want cheap tools, come to baroda with some sample screws and bolts from your kit, I'll get you some real cheap tools from road side vendors here, I got the screw drivers and allen-keys for just 5-10 rupees each....and ya one narrow head pilers for 15 rupees...

If you need a threadlock, go for a blue coloured loctite 242...

Have you already ordered the electricals (motor, gyro, esc, servos) or not? Let me know...

Also download the manual for T-rex 450 from Align website...you'll need that for the build.

Makes me wonder... can a heli builder really survive without a set of ball link pliers ?  I know you can pop them in and out by sheer force or prying with other tools, but seems like asking for trouble.  Wonder what others have been doing in the absence of ball-link pliers ?

Please do post your exact choice of electronics too, it will help others.

i have lived with carefully using nose pliers for the ball links, but again this is not the right choice (broke my ball link pliers last week) just got a new set from fast-lad today morning
