RC Plane Designer / Test Pilot @ Team Vortex-RC

I was just reading somewhere that you should NOT use the washer under the fan ( between the engine and fan ) on a Raptor with a TT 53. Now , i think i may not have removed the washer on my heli. Should i go through the pain and remove it ?
RaptorTechnique and a couple of other threads on HeliFreak say that you should remove it.

Haven't faced any issues with washer being there. If you want to be sure, remove the engine mount screws and push the engine assembly all the way up. Then move it down to the normal position. If it is about 1mm or more you are fine. The idea is to have 1mm clearance between the top of clutch and clutch bell.
