Damage seems to be not too bad but still need spares to fix it up!!

Keeping with the age old traditions, please do update us on where you are sourcing the spares from, how was the shopping and shipping experience, et al !

http://www.hobby-wing.com  ... the lady there - Nancy is great with queries and her email address is support@hobby-wing.com.
They use EMS speed post and I just hope I am lucky on the customs front even this time...I have another FP heli in the shipment with the spares and no tx....so might be fine....
Cheers

Bummer !  Sad

This is why I quickly moved to the Hitec HS65MG metal gear servos after my first couple of crashes. I tried to live with changing just the plastic gears of the Align 9g servos that I had on initially, but realized that this one time investment was worth it.  Never had a servo gear issue since.

The downside is that something has to give in when there is a crash, so typically the plastic ends on the linkage rods or some plastic parts on the head would take the impact instead. Some times the links popped off, other times they broke.

Oke so the Creata all fixed and rocking..
My learning curve seems so be a lot flatter and progress a lot slower than in the first 2 months...I guess the crash made me a little conservative... .managing decent FFF but clumsy on my fig 8's/ slow circuits....seem to lose visibility/perspective when the heli is a little further out so I bring the tail in and get it close to me and start over again!!
posting a few pictures....

Thanks guys, seems I am getting more confident now!! Yeah true about off the beaten track but, they're cheap, finished beautifully,  built like tanks and fly wonderfully. 4 big crashes before I needed a $3.00 blade change. Can't ask for much more than that!!

hi guys,
Walkerea's are not liked in a lot of forums because the people bought them and the early ones had very bad electrics and got the company a bad name 'as cheap rubbish craft' this has never worn off, even though now they are comparable to e-sky , e-flight, etc not quite up to 'align' :-) though but they are double the bucks :-)
these are actualy a little bit popular in uk etc, sign of the times,,,,,,, how cheap can we go and still have a reasonable craft, the 'non ccpm' are easier to set up than the 'ccpm' though.
you seem to have converted to helis from plane very well  :-)

regards
don

In case anyone is wondering why people consider CCPM as a better design, is mostly due to the tendency to do "pitch pumping" 3D flying these days by most people.  Even the venerable Raptor series are coming out with new CCPM designs.  The main driver is that pitch is controlled by a single servo in non-CCPM designs, which puts obscene loads on the servo used to control the pitch (up/down movement of the swash).  In CCPM designs, this load is shared by 3 servos.  That is the key.
