i guess the maneuverability will not be effected , but the power from a  brushless motor is way better than the brushed..expect better agility from a brushless heli

Do you have a specific size of heli in mind that you want to compare as that too will have it's own pros and cons

for example (i have none of them) -

align trex 450 (brushless of-course!)

esky honey bee cp3 (brushed) .

i asked this question as i already have brushed motored cp heli and i have ordered a new 450 class heli w/ brushless motor. (esky belt cp v2). after i learn some 3d, i'll look forward for trex. i just wanted to know what more i can do in a brushless motored heli compared to a brushed motored heli.

regards

The major difference comes when you move from a Brushed FP heli to a Brushless CP heli, however as you were already using a CP heli you will observe the following

1.  More head speed
2. crisp and fast response on cyclics and tail (due to high head speed)
3. more flying time and less/no  replacement of the motor as the brushless motor has less wear and tear as compared to a brushed motor.

I hope this answers your question

Tip : Don't use the ESC provided with belt CP upgrade that to a 35 or 40 amp ESC from HK

Thanks
Amit

the Stock esky ESC is 25 amps and is of inferior quality...not sure may be they have improved over the years. but to be on the safer side due to the number of amps this motor draws you are safe with a 35amp ESC or higher
