I am ecstatic today! In spite of my HK450 M.I.A. somewhere, today has been a Helli of a day. The following Helis landed up in the last 36 hours:

Double Horse 9060, Double Horse 9074, Enjoyhobbies 9098. The first two are from Hellyflyer Salute and the last from www.enjoyhobbies.biz

I've been flying them around the house and it has been a wonderful experience.

The 9060 is BIG and stable. A little glitzy with the lights, perhaps, nevertheless a very good model comparable to the Volitation in flying characteristics. It can easily fly outdoors in a windless atmosphere. Suggest you buy it, remove the lights and repaint the baby.

The 9098 is Micro and Rock steady. Amazing model with solid construction and beautiful finishing. Gyro stable - what more can I ask for @ $ 27.50? I am buying another one.

The 9074, in spite of an ugly stickering job, is my personal favourite. Not only does she fly beautifully, with rapid acceleration, the thrum from the rotors is awesome inside a closed room. I am in love with this baby. The only other problem is that it comes with no spares at all. The tail rotor is vulnerable to crashes. I already broke it and then fixed it with CA. Hellyflyer, thank you so much!

I would recommend the 9098 and the 9074 for all indoor Heli enthusiasts. This is my 3rd purchase from enjoyhobbies.biz, not only are their products interesting (with free shipping @ $2.00 Grin), delivery has always been effected within 15 days.

All in all, its been a great day and I will probably go to sleep with the Helis all lined up by my bedside. I am 45 years old and I don't really give a damn! My daughter agrees wholeheartedly. Giggle

Cheers all!

As such Co Axial Helis are very stable in thier flight. When they start appearing market few years back I bought one for myself (syma). Just to add some spice, now they are claming inbuilt gyro :giggle Pure marketing gimmik.

Cost of a decent co axial heli is not more than 1500-2000 INR and in this price if they can add gyro.... Bow then i have nothing to say.... >Cheesy

Ok here are my 2 cents

It is not necessary that you will be able to see a seperate Gyro on these coax heli's like you do on 3d heli's. All what matters is, can you see a similar tail movement like you do with a Heli with a Gyro on board. So I believe that these are not lies and if you see videos of 9074 or any other heli with Gyroscope you should notice tight tail movements and no sloppyness at all. Check out all videos of such heli's on xheli.com

Also this means that the heli will try and give best tight tail movements in any direction at any flying height or level/angle as it has a gyroscope built in.

Thanks

All the 3 Helis have built in Gyros, no 'white lies' involved here. Both the 9074 and 9098 definitely have built in gyros in spite of their mini and micro sizes. Rock steady hover and Tail movements (as mentioned by Hellyflier) are precise. This cannot be achieved without a Gyro. Once I post the videos, it will be clear. Swamped with work pressure, can't do this before Monday. It is NOT a 'marketing gimmick' I am putting my money on this. I have flown non gyro Helis and posted their videos on this site. The difference is chalk and cheese.

The Co-Axial rotors add stability and not the gyro. All co-axials are very stable. rest you guys are much smart and belong to Ge-Next. By the way.... going as a speaker at a national conference on "Marketing for Ge NExt. and my topic will be ' Marketing strategies for Ge Next' , I think I should quote this sales gimmick there  Grin.  (adding a  word 'Gyroscope' attract young flyers attention Wink, even the manyfacturer is not aware of this instrument but copied it from its peer manufacturers...  language on the box suggests the same) "Built-in Gyroscope with the function of anto-detection and fixing any direction at any angle"

Its chalk only (not cheese Giggle)

I have seen both wth and without gyro fly and i find quite a difference in stability. Modelart charges Rs.1750 and Rs.2250 for with and without gyro models of coax helis. Any suggestions on what makes the diff in stability?

Friends call me "Bakya"

Which one is better 9053 volitation or 9060 overlord?

Also what do you think about the mini shark 9070?

I have a question regarding 9070:

check this link:

http://www.raidentech.com/90doho3chinc.html

In features they mention: Frequency: 27MZ 40MZ 49MZ

and in specs they write:

Ready To Fly: Supplied completely assembled and ready-to-fly, with pre-installed 3 Channel Proportional Infra Red Control System
Range: Up to 100 feet (30 meters). Frequency: Infra Red Control System

The picture shows a radio freq transmitter

So is it infra red remote controlled or radio freq controlled?

I think it is radio frequency controlled coz i can see the red antennae in one of the pics.

Am i missing something?

In technical terms I dont want to take risk debating this with you smart guys Bow but this is a 'placibo effect' it has noting to do with aeromodelling but its a medical term (read a bit on google abt it).

the small effect you feel may be due to a better design of rotors (actually all coaxials are mostly 3 channel they tail is a pusher and puller).

And you guys know very well that aevery gyro need a reference point to keep the flight stable. You decide, if these helis have a hidden gyro. Grin

Sir, with my very limited knowledge of RC and aeromodelling, I would like to mention here that most manufacturers sell the same models in Gyro and Non Gyro versions. The Gyro versions are priced higher and both models use the same blades and tail props. However, the flight characteristics are a lot different and certainly NOT a "small effect" or "Placebo effect". I don't want to get into an argument here, my knowledge of electronics is ZERO and I haven't tried to decipher the circuits inside. All I know and I reiterate this, the difference of flight characteristics between a Micro heli with and without a Gyro, IS CHALK and CHEESE.

Interestingly, the champions Anwar Sahab and Sujju Bhai are not contributing here. They have taken a ringside seat and are enjoying themselves! I remember having a similar discussion with Anwar Sahab on a different thread somewhere - I had posted a video of my Picooz non gyro Heli. There the Administrator / Moderator had explained to me the use of a gyro on a micro heli. I have full faith in his experience and knowledge. End of story. Thumbs Up

I have seen some heli boxes with Gyro printed on them. On closer look, I noted that they were trying to say that the flybar is the gyro. Not sure if Iam right. coz those helis still had spinning tails. Dont remember the models exactly.

I would like to see a Non Gyro Heli exhibit this kind of head lock/tail lock stability. Even if I try to move the tail out of position, it stays exactly where it was. A little more force and the entire Heli moves sideways but it still does not lose its directional orientation.

Point to be noted, it costs $27 ONLY if you buy it directly from China, but it is probably sold on Ebay India for $60.

I think I know my Cheese! Grin Someone will have to think of new examples of sales gimmicks to augment his Marketing Symposium presentation. All the best! Thumbs Up

Quod Erat Demonstrandum.

Bokilap, Medicineman - Don't buy the Volitation or the Overlord go in for the 8004 or 8005 (Google RC Helicopter 8004/8005). It is a much much better model and much bigger at 75 cms +

http://www.jackshobbies.in/products_big.aspx?imgid=1005

http://www.jackshobbies.in/products_big.aspx?imgid=1004

The 9074 is just 30 cms in length but it is a beautiful flyer. You won't ever regret buying it - just ensure that you buy a set of spare main and tail rotors!  Giggle

Sir,is that a telescope at 0.04?If it is,it seems like a refractor.

I bought a below average celestron powerseeker 50 and was not happy most of the time, but it did show the craters of the moon wonderfully and the rings of saturn too.

It is a Konus 90mm Refractor with a Motor drive. It is a very good moonscope. Planning to sell it and upgrade to a 200mm Reflector.
