Title: Help with Heli problem
Post by: ANTA on May 11, 2010, 07:51:29 PM
Hai all,
I am having a Heli Max AXE CP L (http://www.rcindia.org/beginners-zone/help-with-heli/) .My problem is that there is no response from the heli when the power is turned on, except the servo links are slightly moved for a moment (a usual thing and everything has done as per the manual.) When the battery is connected to the heli, the green LED on the E-Board blinks four, five times and then lights continuously and no response from the servos nor the motor when a command is given.I had went through the following procedures

1) Checked the batteries of the Tx and Rx using voltmeter and checked for loose connections. (All ok.)
2) Checked all connections on the heli for any loose contacts. (All ok.)

Would anybody please tell me what will be the problems and its solutions.

1. Check the Idle up swith on Tx
2. Check if the servos are connected in reverse

1. I had checked the Idle up swith on Tx, it is in the "off" position.
2. The servos are not connected in reverse.

I am having a FM 5 ch heli  with some problem to its 'E-board' (as per the manuals). The E-board ,I think is a combo of Rx, Gyro and the ESC. I am planning to replace the same.
1) Can I use a FM micro receiver used for aeroplanes.
2) What may be the things should I buy except the gyro and the esc.
3) Where should I get these items in India.
Please help me to solve the problem.

Tower description says it uses a "3-in-1 ESC/gyro/mixer unit". Sounds like your radio doesn't have the swash mixes. You also have to get a CCPM mixer or upgrade your radio.

ANTA - How did this start ?  Was it after any crash.  As per your other thread, it was working before.

If you want to fix this, the simplest option may be to take it to some one around who can take a look at it (whether servos are working by themselves etc), and if only the 3-in-1 unit is the issue, just try to replace that only.

Thanks you both for the replies,
1)There were no crashes at all on my last flight. It was dead when took it on the next day.
2)The servos are not working by themselves on the heli, and to check it I connected them to my plane's Rx and they are functioning.
3)Anybody please help me to find heli flyers around Cochin, and
4)Where can I buy this 3-in-1 unit in India
