Some queries.
Wing is thermocol or depron? Covered with tape or lamination?
Is the stab mounted on a pylon, or only UP elevator?
Spring and pull string or pushrods?

Some suggestions for your consideration:
5-6gms more nose weight.
Taper the outer panel trailing edge about 0.5-1" forward at the tip. Sand the bottom of the TE near the tip to get slight washout.
Instead of waiting for speed decay at the top of the launch and then diving to regain speed, turn just before the top.
Explore possibility of launching with wings banked right about 30-45 degrees and nose up 15-20 degrees. This should give you a right turn launch and transition to glide without any control input.
It will also allow you to start the throw from further back.
When your arm gets tired, try a homemade HiStart!

Its HD foam, salvaged from box used for storing certain drugs.....4 panels joined to make 3....11.5+25+11.5 covered with tape.
yes, the stab is mounted on a 'pedestal' as I read and the ele can move about .75 in up and down. Controls are 0.5mm steel wire pushrods.

Also, I just checked the weight of the ballast - its 4 lead pellets (0.22 cal) each weighing a gram !!!! so 4 grams only....(and not 8 grams )....seeing the difference this has made, I am inclined to reduce it by one unit at a time to see if the launch gets affected while decreasing the sink rate ( difference evident from the two videos)......

will try with additional nose weight and explore your suggestions......BTW. Its actually quite fun to launch it DL way even without the peg.....but the wing slides and the bands cut in to the wing(no LE reinforcements) but javelin launch has its own charm  

Edit: Its the fuse and not the wing that slides in a Discuss launch, when fastened with dowel+bands. Nylon Screw is the way to go.
