Title: 48 in KFm 4 DL wing
Post by: bmblb on January 01, 2017, 07:37:48 PM
.....last few weeks have been quite intense  ;D...almost one plane a fortnight  ;D ;D

my DL wing - 48 in, Kfm4, sub 3 oz/sft WL...the pics dont indicate much....but it feels great in the hand.

launches just fine, but does'nt retain height and sinks fast with a clear, controllable flight path.

the wing is 2mm coro with cut outs, 4 mm foam for the layers....with two CF tow reinforcements....same with the v stab with a CF rod inserted into the flute as well.

the wing has a 0.75 in dihedral on each side.....its subtle but un-mistakable...

havent explored DL-ing it much....but I feel it would do good on a slope as it looks and feels right....

will update as and when I explore this more....

How did you analyse the static stability of the aircraft through simulation?
