Title: Electric E20 free flight model
Post by: Free Flight on June 07, 2021, 07:02:28 PM
Sharing my flights with an electric E20 model. (Electric , 20 inch WS) and mine weighs 34 grams.
It is flown with a 8.5 mm motor, 20 mm long (8520) with 1S , 150 mah Lipo battery that also activates the DT servo (1.4 grams). Plans are in the description. Based on some discussion threads in the Electric, I gather all these are available in India.

Not too many places to fly a 15 or 25 size , 60 inch free flight gas model. But the E20 can be flown in nearby parks or gardens. Just assure that there is enough stab tilt to make smaller circle and keep it in the park. Give it a try, sure is fun.

Hope you enjoy.

WONDERFUL!

I hope you’ll share with us:

1. A build log. How did you manage the low weight?

2. A trimming log. Though my approach is often different, your trimming methods really work!

Here in Indore the lockdown has been relaxed since yesterday, but weekend curfew remains. So no golf and no flying...

3. Please also post a video of a flight with a motor runof only 5 seconds.

Regards

Thanks Mr. Iyer. Happy to do it. I am very happy to share all of this info.

Very busy starting tomorrow for next two weeks (all good though...). But as soon as I get free will do so.

Wish you all good health and stay safe.

Regards,

PS : here is a video of a similar E 20 model taken by my son almost two years ago. Trimming principles are the same but to re enforce the idea that a reliable DT is a must on these airplanes.
