Any videos? (:|~ Title: Re: Free Flight Rubber Power Post by: sanjayrai55 on August 21, 2013, 07:12:29 AM Cute!!! I once built a rubber powered model (one of the Mercury ones from IHC) with half a prop! The other half was a piece of wire with lots of solder, acted as a counter-balance.
Fairly large model, I think. It was somewhere in the late '60s Title: Re: Free Flight Rubber Power Post by: sanjayrai55 on August 21, 2013, 07:13:37 AM Saikat: where did you get dope?
Title: Re: Free Flight Rubber Power Post by: saikat on August 21, 2013, 07:17:59 AM quickfix dissolved in duco thinners
say one tube in 250 ml Title: Re: Free Flight Rubber Power Post by: sanjayrai55 on August 21, 2013, 07:59:24 AM OK. I use diluted clear lacquer. OK types, not very good.
Title: Re: Free Flight Rubber Power Post by: saikat on August 21, 2013, 01:35:12 PM yes - mine is not dope strictly speaking - but its an acceptable substitute.
Title: Re: Free Flight Rubber Power Post by: Free Flight on September 19, 2013, 03:43:32 PM Very well Built. What I like about your build is a hand carved prop. I never got that right, but looks like you havae donea great job. Now Trimming is the othet half of the fun. Are you planning a DT install with wing pop off ? Here is a photo of my old build done recently for sharing.
