Hi everyone

I have quadcopter with following specifications

Motors:  Multistar 2216 800kv v2
ESC:     Simon K 20 Amp
FC:       DJI NAZA M - Lite
Batt:     4200 mah 20C  3S ,  1200 mah 3S for Gimbal
Prop.     10x4.5 plastic Props
Gimbal: Quanum Nova Q-2D
TX& Rx: Frsky TARANIS with 8 ch. Telemetry Rx

AUW = 1.6 kg

During Yaw stick movement weather it is Right or Left  my quad looses Height in both GPS and Atti. Hold mode what is the reason for that Please Help :help: :help:

Try bumping up the vertical gain.

1)It can be that your stick is too sensitive such that thr goes up and down when you yaw. So introducing a dead band or throttle curve or expo etc can help. Also set thr mid point correctly.
2)Irregular frame shape/CoG can also cause the phenomenon.
3)Too much AUW.
4)OR inappropriate gains.

Does your quad lose height in stabilize mode while yawing?

Edit: Wow thats heavy setup for those motors on 3S. You can try removing the gimbal and check if it exhibits same issue.

Sidewinder, sir ,AUW is not that heavy for those motors (2216 - 800Kv) - these generate enough thrust with 11 or 12" prop on 3S .

As Ashimda sir said, try increasing the vertical gain . (For easy in tuning, link any of your pots to vertical gain tuning - so that you can actually tune at field with out help of naza assistant. )

Increased Vertical Gain from 120%to 160%

Sidewinder, sir ,AUW is not that heavy for those motors (2216 - 800Kv) - these generate enough thrust with 11 or 12" prop on 3S .

Because he is using them with 10" on 3S(read first post), producing about 900gms approx thrust totaling to 3.6kg thrust. The 2:1 ratio for hover would come around 1.8kg in this case, so his AUW of 1.6kg approx would leave very less margin for a peppy flight. Copter should achieve hover between 30-40% throttle for an ideal FPV flight.

However he has the option to prop up if frame permits or use 4S, which may change the gains.
