Greetings everyone!  :salute:

After a week of experimenting with the 3D printed F450 quadcopter driven by the KK 2.1.5 flight controller, I decided to move on to a more exciting form factor of quads.
The outcome is a fully 3D printed 350mm racing quad frame that draws its inspirations from the DJI MINI 2. The drone is fully enclosed giving it a more aesthetic and commercial product - like ergonomics.  ;)

I am currently running 1000 KV BLDC outrunners with 9.4*4.3 inch props, powered by a 3S 1000 mAh 40-80C LiPo.
Oh, and, I decided to move on from the KK board to something more advanced and modern, so, I'm using the HOLYBRO MICRO APM as the brains of this little drone.
Extremely delighted with the way it performs now and looking forward to slap on some 2200 KV motors with 6 inch tri-blade props to test out the frame's true potential!  ;D

After putting it through rigorous indoor testing (> 50 mins of air time) I can conclude that the APM board does a very good job at stabilizing the craft but the only problem I'm facing is that the quad tends to shoot up above 50% throttle and quickly drop when I pull the throttle down to around 40% in stabilize mode. I have tried playing around with the vertical acceleration and climb rates on mission planner but nothing seems to help this. The Barometer seems to be working perfectly alright though.

Any help regarding this hurdle would be much appreciated. Anyhow, the STL files for the frame will be soon made public after some more modifications so stay tuned for that!  :giggle:
