Now you can make a quadcopter within 1350/- Shocked Shocked

Yea you read it right a (mini) quadcopter within 1350/- all you need is a kit and a compatible

transmitter and some good ideas and lot of patience Giggle

Kit comes with following items
  • 4 x 716 coreless motors
  • 1 x Receiver/controller
  • 1 x 350mah 3.7V lipo
  • 1 x USB Charger
  • Props
  • 3 x Bamboo sticks 300mm long each

With the stock kit you can make a mini  quad which has to:
 1. less than 120 mm motor to motors
 2. less than 35 grams

Here is the list of compatible radios which you need to have.
  • FlySky FS-TH9X 2.4G 9CH transmitter
  • Turnigy 9X 9Ch Transmitter w/ Module
  • FlySky FS-T6 2.4ghz Digital Proportional 6 Channel Transmitter and Receiver System *NEW*
  • FlySky FS-CT6B 2.4GHz 6CH Transmitter
  • Hobby King 2.4Ghz 6Ch TX

How to bind the transmitter with receiver/Bind instructions:

 1. Plugin battery to receiver LED will flash quickly and stops
 2. Keep it on flat surface and LED will start to flash again at a rapid rate
 3. Hold bind button on your TX and switch it ON
 4. LED on receiver should start to flash slowly
 5. Turn off your TX and leave the bind button and switch ON your TX again.
 6. LED on receiver should be solid now, which means its binded successfully

*You will have to repeat the bind process every time you remove the battery from the receiver

You can check the original thread here at RCG for more ideas.

You can also buy spares to improve your mini quad to mid to large size.
720 coreless motors can be used to make a mid to large size quads (250mm to

450mm)
HCX552 an alternate controller for V939 much more stable than V939
 716 coreless motors
 V939 controller

How To:

You can find lot of videos uploaded by user and images in this thread, i am listing few.

I have used Popsicle/ice-cream sticks Giggle Giggle to make the base and stands. Easily available at any stationary shop. Also i have used cap of pen (2 Rs. pen) for holding up the motors Wink Wink. All these are holding together in place using hot glue along with fevicol and fevikwik. Its first time i am using hot glue.

I am kind of doubtful about getting good results with using hot glue, as motors will get hot after long use and having hot glue to hold them is not a good idea i think.  Head Scratching Head Scratching Any ideas for any alternative glue or anything guys??

Last thing is the weight of this tiny quad. I had few lipos and controller from few of my lady bug quad, got them together and here you can see in image.

This is not final but should be around 40-45 grams.

The kit that i am getting will contain everything,

4 x motors
1 x receiver/controller
4 x props (2 x CW and 2 x CCW)
1 x 1 cell LIPO
1 x USB charger

and few bamboo sticks.

You will need only one of the above listed transmitter and your imagination Wink

tiny brushed motors, the FC is the V939 controller which has ESC and 4 ch 2.4Ghz receiver build on the controller it self

Edit:
brushed, no ESC, toy quadcopter control board from banggood.

Correct BUT not from banggood from different manufacturer.

yup. you can even make a tri-octa-hexa-quad copter. Smiley
your flight time will become less. Just keep the ratio of the weight and thrust constant and place 2 batteries.

Not sure that we can tri out of it, but you can see that thread and find it out. About binding, its very simple first turn on the FC then your radio if its compatible then it will bind else wont.

When will these be up for sale? I think some spare motors and props in the kit will increase the success rate of newbies like me..
