Title: AR Drone 2 first outdoor flight
Post by: mrfixit4u on December 02, 2013, 11:20:52 AM
Although I had the drone for quite sometime, just could not take it outside. Yesterday finally it saw the outdoors and had a couple of flights. I am attaching two videos, one of drone flying and the other taken from the drone camera...have a look....

Hi,

Nice videos, I am in same boat, got ard since long but really didn't got good space/time to fly out...unlike you got good space to play..

Till what height did you take ? any idea how tall it goes....how is the battery with your experience..

Cheers..

Thanx for your appreciation. It was a delight to fly. I did not take it higher than about 50 feet as I was afraid of loosing signal. The wifi bar was showing one bar only. I think this wifi is a restrictive factor and I hope to change it to normal 2.4 GHz TX Rx later. The batteries I have are old so the max I got was about 10mts. I have got a new battery from Hobby KIng which is supposed to fit in the drone and which I will try in a couple of days.
