Post by: Swapnil on December 20, 2016, 03:27:08 PM They are most probably using different satellite systems (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and perhaps even Galileo...) for higher accuracy and redundancy. Wish GPS didn't reserve high accuracy for military applications.
As to whether it is possible, well, it certainly is. You'd need a custom 'diversity' system to forward the most accurate location data to the FC (based on the number of 'visible' satellites) or to merge all the data from the different systems for better triangulation. What I don't understand is why someone would spend on 3 positioning systems and not put them on a decent frame. Title: Re: Are multiple GPS inputs possible in multirotor's flight controller?
