Title: Battery Issue for my Quadcopter.
Post by: ap16j55 on July 12, 2015, 12:44:20 PM
I am trying to build a Quad for the first time. I have the following configuration.

A2212 13T 100 motor  kv X 4
HLW XXD - 30 A ESC
KK2.1.5
Avionics TXRX.
Custom made battery supplying 12 V

When tried with this battery, individually all motors rotate. But when all 4 are connected through KK2, they wont move. When connected through an adopter, 3 motors worked parallelly.

Not able to understand the issue.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by this?
Any pic of the custom made battery ? It type (lipo, life, etc)
Which adapter?
Please.post pictures of battery adapter and the method you have connected the motors to the kk board and in the parallel series in

Please find attached  a picture of the battery. The same was made from a maker at lamington road.

The adopter is similar to cell phone adopter with 12V 1 A rating.

What is the C rating on this battery.
Seems that it's a standard 1C battery using which you will certainly not be able to fly.

This is generating 12 V. Donot know is C rating. But single motor is running at required speed when connected directly.

Its better to buy a new one instead on doing custom battery as this lipo battery are dangerous if mishandled

Thank you for the suggestion. Am also thinking in similar lines. But before going for a new one, want to confirm that the issue is battery related.

The issue face by us: When 1 motor is connected to battery, it is running fine. If two are connected both are not moving. When two motors are connected to adopter, they are running. Where and what can be the reason.

this is because required amount of current is not provided by battery...
kindly use  20-25C lipo battery...

regards
