I found a PDF http://www.instructables.com/id/RC-Quadrotor-Helicopter/ quite intresting so i've decided to make it as my final year project.
However I need some assistance as I am a beginner in this field and i frankly don't understand the concept fully.
can you provide me with the code(s) which are need for the flight controller board.
I've found a pre build flight controller board http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__19534__HobbyKing_Multi_Rotor_Control_Board_V2_1_Atmega168PA_.html
its for 12.99$ but it runs on ATmega 168PA microcontroller.

If you read bit more, you will realize that the code for controlling this board (and most others) are open source.  Do a bit more of reading/digging, and if you are still having trouble, post here again.

I am sure you can find the code online.  The reason I am not posting a link is that you need to develop the all important skillset of being able to search and find information yourself.  The fact that you have found this forum and the HK board proves that it is in you already
