I think ,you can fly indoors - no restrictions for indoor flying.
Also sales of the same, has NOT banned in India,at least for the time being.

As we all know that many RTO personals don't have Driving licence,  but still do Traffic work, which is unfair, How do these people know traffic dicipline and rules of driving,  A professional drivers knows the right moves, Similarly there are many not knowing such Technology and advance development,  and do control of such matters without knowing anything,  take decision to stop and block our future world, India's law enforcement agencies must keep themselves upto date with advancing world, India has suffered heavily under such regime,  Government must see that they employ the right people to do the right work, and simply don't try to get a pat on back, on false note, enough is enough,  let us all now progress and see grouth of better world,

sales are not banned in india but flying in mumbai and navi mumbai surely due to the cases of foolishness of people who dont know either how to fly or dont know the regulations of flying in that state(mumbai, the housing.com guy flying near bhabha atomic research center)
well but according to the police there is a ban till august 2nd as they think there might be a terrorist attack by using "drones"
hope they come out of this and make everything back to normal

Use Hubsan.
Small, robust, repairable and good for flying indoors.

Yes it is. But the quad industry is selling them as drones. So quads are getting the bad name. You can buy Syma X5C-1 or Hubsan X4 and even fly them outside. These are as good as toys but does their job well. These can take good aerial photos and videos as well. And with range extension mods, they can fly to a long distance. Moreover these are good for beginners too. I take along my Syma X5C everywhere.
