Flight time depends on the motor, propeller size and pitch, over all weight of your quad and the amount of juice your battery can give.

However a larger battery might not mean more flight time as the weight increases with battery capacity.

You didnt mention your motor kv, but I'm guesing 920kv? Most people start with 920kv motors for 450 size quad, with 1045 propelleres for max lift. A 2200mah 3S battery might give you 8 to 10 mins flight time depending on the weight.

On the other side, there are also people who have got the same flight time with a huge 4s 5000mah pack.

Sorry for the late reply. Pls do post what you're using or plan to use and share the results.

Calculate the max current draw per motor. Multiply that by 4 and you have max total current draw.

Select any battery that can source this current without a problem. To know how much current a battery can provide, the formula is Discharge rate x Capacity (in Ah). So for a 2200 MaH 20C battery, it can provide 2.2*20 = 44A of current.

For longer flight times, you want a 4000 mAh+ capacity battery.

Turnigy batteries are always best.
I recommended to buy turnigy battery for your copter.

Flight time depends upon discharge rate and capacity of the battery.Suppose if you bought a 2200mah(30C)Battery then the maximum current the battery will provide = 2200 x 30 = 66A of current.
For longer flight time you want a 4200mah+.

Now whos next??

Go for 2200 mah to 3000 mah.
Youll get decent flight time (approx 7-11 mins of smooth flying based on take-off weight)

Or you can connect 2x 2200 lipo 3s in parallel so that it becomes 3s 4400mah battery with light weight more flite time if you are using 3s capable esc and .motors

Experience counts... so here it is

I have a 250 quad and my motors use about 24A just for lifting.

But the real problem is I used a 2200mah 20c battery which should be good

But as the battery voltage dips the current requirement increasing .. you know to maintain the Wattage.

So I could only get about 3min because if the voltage dip too much the battery is hurt

Example a peak of 12.6volt to 11volt is about 405 discharge  (now 15% additional current required)

So go in for atleast 35 to 40 C to use most of the battery MAH

I am using a 5000mAH MultiStar battery with 920 kV motors and 1045 props. My quad weighs about 1.2kg. I get a flight time of about 18-20 min.
