I connected the receiver to the quadrotor but it was not detected by the MikroKopter tool.

Buddy , got this info from various forums.
The fs-ct6b does not have PPM , it has PWM.
But i read somewhere in the rc forums that the ch7 is often used as PPM ( the bind plug channel)

I think its not true for flysky from hobbypartz , because all the new ones are with PWM.
So , this is what you need to do, in order to make your tx/rx work with your Mikrokopter flight cntrl v2.1.

Now how to make it work with PWM
Firstly PPM signal is transmitted with one line signal . so you will have one line which goes into your PPM port of the control board ( with a ground and a +vcc wire ).All signals are mixed in one line and send with a delay of microseconds ( eg. 300us similar range )

Your rx sends PWM , in order to convert it to PPM you need a converter , either you can buy it or you can DIY .This is link to design it http://jreise.de/PPM/R617FS.html , you need avr programmer , attiny ( available in Indian market ) ,soldering iron and general tools .

How the converter works

TX ....sends signal to your -> ....RX....sends PWM to converter....
->....converter converts PWM to PPM....-> PPM from converter to your flight cntrl board.

this link tells how to wire ppm out http://rcexplorer.se/page14/assan/assan.html
OR
you can do this.

The FS-CT6B has a programming port ( a four pin socket ) , when you open your tx , on the board where the programming port is connected , you will see name PPM written , You can solder another wire to ppm port and add switch b/w the the two....so, that you can change between rx and programming mode.

For this you  also need a UHF or any rf  tx/rx ( available in indian market ) .

this is the working procedure

TX ..attached to UHF tx ( through ppm , gnd and +vcc ).... now when you move your fs ct6b sticks the  ppm signal will be sent to the UHF attached to your TX ....now that UHF transmitter will send the PPM to the .... -> UHF rx which will be connected to your PPM receiving port of the Flight Cntrl board.I cant find details on it.

these are the only two methods i came across.

below is link for a simple pwm to ppm converter and second image for the second method, this not so easy .I will try it if i get time , i really like playing with AVRs .

Hope this helps you Smiley

the PWM to PPM converter that i gave a link to was used by most mikrocoter flyers with 4ch rx , mostly spectrum and futaba. many ppl ( from rcgroup forum ) had successful flights with it.

Hello RC_DUDE,
I have given it a try, though I did not get completely what u meant Bang Head
Here is the update.

What I have done is as you said there is at only one place where I have found PPM written.
Not sure whether it is 4 pin programming socket that you were talking about.
Anyway, I have found it on the board that is directly connected to the antenna.(Can be seen from the image)
there in two are 5V and GND there is one more wire akin of data channel(Can be seen in the images)
and a PPM wire.
I have disconnected the 3rd one akin of data-channel labelled with SW..(something) in the image and shorted the same with the
PPM thinking that this signal is what would be transmitted with no luck.

Is this what u mean...
Thank you.

@vihari

I was talking about this port with 4 pins , where you insert your programming cable follow the link
(this link is just to show you where the ppm pin is , do not follow the whole post )
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=967207&page=8#post11428588
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=12912921&postcount=1697

you need to solder a wire to the PPM wire , it can be the antenna PPM or the PPM on the prog. port.

this will work only if you could buy another UHF transmitter/ receiver pair ( not readily available in india ).

Buddy the only problem is that the tx sends PPM to rx ....but the rx gives the PPM as pwm . There is need to study the rx circuit.I think the rx can be tweaked to get PPM out.

For now i would recommend you to search for  pwm to ppm converter or a UHF transreceiver .These are the only ways to do it .

sorry friend couldnot help you much for now.Don't worry ,i will research more.
