Post by: Nikhil06 on April 01, 2013, 11:06:41 PM
Hello,

i recently purchased a Hobbyking Super Mini Quadcopter Frame with Motors (445mm) and with other required electronics (esc , control board , battery)
however i have been unable to get the quad to fly
the quad just isnt stable
after increasing the throttle a bit, it lifts off the ground for 1 second and the veers off into some other
direction.
if the quad doesnt work than i ' ll be cut off of rc

can anyone please help?
 ??? :( :help: :help:

Hi!

Which control board are you using? Some pictures would be useful.

Anyone can only tell if you send some pics but here are some tips

1.Check the flight boards settings , sometimes it happens because of the wrong settings of the flight board.
2.Check if the propellers are balanced , if not balance them.
3. Check if the reversed and non reversed propellers are on the correct motor.

Now if the quad is still not flying properly , please answer these questions so i can help you further

1.Which control board are you using?
2.Have you programmed it?
3.have you tested the gyros, to do this you wil have to hold the quad in your hand then give a 10 percent throttle then tilt it any way and check the motor speed, if the gyros are not working then call the support center and if any of the motor's speed is not working properly then reverse it or program it correctly. :) ;D :hatsoff:

nikhil first make sure that the control board is mounted correctly without any vibration..
Now check which mode is programmed if it is x mode the arrow should point b/w two arms.. if it is + the arrow must be point towards a singe arm..
Finally check whether the motors are rotating in the right direction and connected to the board in the right order..  if you can give some details about the boars it will be easy for us to help you.. :)
All the best..

thank u arun sir,
the board strapped tightly in its original casing so no vibrations
the board is set in quadcopter config (arrows pointing to single bar)
also motors are rotating in right direction and are connected correctly.
i am a complete rrookie to rc  and i have bought the complete setup
unfortunately even after replacing the two defunct motors
the quad does not take to the air
(the seller was also unable to fix the problem)

You can consider this for programming..
http://hobbysea.com/products.php?150&cPath=21&sid=ac7395208d5900b858ffd5e7531c8571

And make sure the board is a + mode programming usually the boards will be having x mode programing in default.. in that case you need to place the arrow in between the two arms..
All the best...

This seems to a recurring problem with all Hobbyking KK boards. There is a firmware glitch. Only way out is applying a HUGE amount of subtrim. I have scrapped my kkboard due to this very problem.

KK2 (Newbie friendly) or the MultiWii (Expandability and open source support).
