Title: HK x230 with HK V2.1 no need for arming??
Post by: vishwasvm on December 14, 2013, 10:19:21 AM
I have following configuration:

1. HK x230frame with stock motors, props and ESCs http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=26587 (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=26587)
2. HK V2.1 flight control board flashed with X configuration v4.7
3. HK-T6A Tx and Rx Mode V2
4. Turnigy nano-tech 1300mah 3S 25~50C Lipo Pack

I have not yet connected the props. ECS are tested and calibrated individually. Keeping pitch pot minimum, all four escs are also calibrated. Pot is restored to 50% after this. All other pots at 50%

I have following problems

1. I need to calibrate ESCs every time I disconnect and connect battery.
2. I have read in this forum that the board needs to be armed first. But I do not see that is required. motors just start the moment I raise throttle. Neither it is disarmed by any combination of sticks.

Am I missing something. I have no RC experience.
