Hi all those are interested in going for the
phantom 3 standard.
I just have to say few lines from my experience of it :
This is an amazing quad-copter. Fly's well and camera is just wonderful. Nothing can match its camera.
Merits:
1. Costs only 58k india.
2. Rock steady in gps mode.
3. FPV works like a charm on compatible devices.( I have HTC ONE E8, Never faced any laggy frames. Everything is just super smooth.)
4. Camera is comparable. (I had ilook+ camera, and SJcam sj4000 original, but dji's camera is 200% better. It has better low light performance too.)
5. Range is good.( I went upto 800 mts without any problem. Just remember not to keep your finger on the antenna area of the tx. I have flewn a couple of times, but never faced any hiccups in the connection. This can go way beyond the mentioned range, if you follow the manual correctly.)
6. Multiple intellegent flight options. Waypoints, IOC, POI, Follow me mode. etc.
Demerits:
1. Does not have Vision positioning system, so can't fly indoors. wereas phantom 3 A and P can do those things.
2. Range is less as compaired to phantom 3 advanced and professional, which are rated at 2 kms.
My advice to all DJI phantom 3 standard owners:
1. Check on the internet from different review which mobile devices are compatible properly with the phantom 3.
My mobile: HTC ONE E8 provides excellent compatibilty with the phantom.
2. Read the manual well before flying your phantom. ITs a lot different experiance then other quads.
