Actually I am planning for 6 , what more it will take for 8 except the frame and two additional motors?  will there be any change in flight controller board too?

Go with apm with gps from Chintal ( Rcmumbai ) @ 6200
Dji 2212 motors ( quadkopters ) @ 875
Avionic 20 amp esc ( rcbazaar ) ( Simons firmware ) @ 630
I have no idea about frame

Those motors generate about 850 grams thrust 850 x 6 = 5.1 kg

this setup won't lift a slr devang.
For flight controler I would suggest those DJI ones more than any other controler for aerial filming but for sport and fpv flying you should go for apm.

from basics:
u can build both hex as well as octa with this flight controller(FC)...
fc-- dji naza m lite for 10k at rcmumbai.com
it supports:
no octa here

another one is dji naza v2 its i available for 18-19k in india on rcmumbai.com that supports hex as well as octa
(http://www.getfpv.com/media/wysiwyg/nazav2/NINE.jpg)

now motors:
it will depend on which slr you are gonna use... please provide me the exact weight of it with all equipments you are gonna use while in the air

moslty people use t-motors which gives best perfomance but they will cost you around 20-23k for 8 and 16-18k for 6..
next is sunny sky or tarot ones both are good for the price..they will cost you in between 15-17k for 8 and 12-14k for 6

next are esc's:
(electronic speed controller)
stating about 30A simonk esc's they will cost you 7.5k for 8 and 5.5k for 6.. they are available in india..
you can check
quadkopter.com
rcmumbai.com

battery:
as you will use it to shoot videos you will need higher capacity of battery like 5000mah to 6000mah for 15-20min of flighttime which i have seen on quads but in hex or octa they have more motors so i think u can easily achieve 30min flight time in ideal conditions..

gimbal:
to stabilise your dslr from vibration and turns..
it is the most important thing for videography
many people use tarot t2d v2 for go pros but for dslr users you need like dji gimbals which you will need to import or ask chintal(rcmumbai) if he can provide you..
these are best in class ones and they are pretty darn expensive...
for other that are available i dont know about them..maybe seniors can help here...
link:
http://www.dji.com/product/zenmuse-z15-5d (http://www.dji.com/product/zenmuse-z15-5d)

radio:
you should go for fr sky taranis its available for 15k in india and is best in class as compared to most telemetry radios(it provide live data of your multirotor)....

thats all i can remember :D

so anymore help needed contact satya sir(quadkopters.com) or chintal(rcmumbai.com)..
they will provide you best help :)

If you have 3 pieces of plywood and a low quality round foam you can buid it yourself (remember to tape foam with transparent cello tape or use hd foam. I am using foam from the box of cieling fan). I will not scratch build it ,even I have many pieces of wood and resources. I dont have enough money to buy electronics. But I will show you the airframe. You have to tape the ply wood or buy balsa. I am showing you the frame of an octa copter. Use rubber balls under the wood where motors are fixed to make a landing gear. Make two rows by covering the upper part of the foam and put a flight controller in there and  put a camera in the hole and attach a servo. If you do this airframe by buying plywood and foam from store it cost you as much ass  :Rs: 30

AL HAM SHARI this is OK but if you want to go professional and add those expensive slr camera and gimbals you will have to buy a readymade frame as they are very strong made up of cf and very capable.

There is a safe idea. Put a simple parachute in The fuselage. And when connection is lost it will inflate ! :P

Or else put threadlocker paste (the one which tightens the hooks) In wood as it strengthens the wood but not foam. Or take wool and tighten the wood fully like a mummy and buy a super glue and cover it fully with the glue. Do not put a drop of super glue or fevi kwik in foam as it eats foam (from my experience last year for science fare in school, I made an rc foam hovercraft from the parts of an old coaxial heli. I used the lipo of  heli to the flight controller giving me zero money loss. After all my friend asked me to put parts with instant adhesive I glued it with full glue and put . After 10 seconds I saw a gooy substance and parts but the foam was gone. I touched it and it was very hot. Then I understood It was a flop project)  :giggle: .

how will it inflate.

You cannot put those more than 100 grams motors producing more than 3kg thrust on those pieces of wood they will break.

Flying with a dslr worth 70-80k on a cheap frame is not a good idea

Still working on it , progress so far -

1. I was thinking of adding a boom rod system , above the quadcopter .
2. To release the parachute I would use flitetest's tow release ( pic attached )
