Hello! Last week I started with a new project using the KK 2.0 board.  Grin

It's a Single Copter which basically has one brushless motor for thrust and four servos for the control.

I hand made the frame out of light weight wood. Attached everything else mostly with double sided tape, glue gun and zip ties.

The specs are as following:

4x HXT900 servos
1x GT2215/09 BL motor
1x Turnigy 2200 mAh battery
KK2.0 LCD FC
2X Turnigy Plush 30A ESC

I've not faced much issues with the lift-off. It easily takes off at around 50-60% throttle.

Controlling the thing is, however, a difficult job. As compared to a quad copter (the only other RC thing that I have worked on), tuning the Single Copter is much more difficult.  Bang Head

Suggestions by the experienced RCI members to improve the design or any recommendations for the tuning are most welcome!  Grin

Why have you used two ESC's? Smiley

The cardboard pieces attached to the servos may may flex, thus providing inconsistent directional control.

How is the servo attached to the cardboard? A pic may help Smiley

All the best with this build. It is unique Smiley

I'm using a 11x4.7 prop with the GT2215/09. So it's slightly over-propped. My 30A Plush ESC gets warm with this motor+prop combination.
So I used a seperate ESC to provide power to the FC, receiver and the four servos.  Tongue

I'll soon replace the cardboard with coroplast. I basically built the thing with whatever was lying at home!  Giggle

I joined the servo to the cardboard using a glue gun. The idea itself seemed to be a bit stupid to me at first but surprisingly the whole thing came out to be pretty sturdy! I'll post a close up in a while!  Smiley

Took inspiration from here:

And is it balanced on yaw axis.?
Because I don't see any flaps to control yaw axis.

@sajid6300shaikh: Basically there are four flaps. Two pitch and two roll.

For P+ : Both pitch flaps move back.
For P- : Both pitch flaps move forward.

Similarly for Roll, both roll flaps move back/forward.

When it comes to yaw,
Yaw+ :One pitch flap forward and one backward, and one roll flap forward and one backward.
For Yaw- the flaps just move in the opposite direction as compared to Yaw+.

I'm not sure if my explanation makes a lot of sense!  Huh? Tongue

I'll post a small video for the demonstration, maybe then it'll be clear!  Grin

Amazing build!!

Do you think that if you reduce the area of center plate then it will give more thrust?

As expected..
But then what if there's an imbalance on both pitch axis and yaw axis simultaneously or roll axis and yaw axis simultaneously.
